About DSDC
Dhaka Shaheen Debating Club (DSDC) was founded in 2015 by Aurgho Aurpon and Safikul Islam Shawon with a clear purpose: to give students a place to learn the art of debate, build confidence, and speak with conviction. From a small group of passionate debaters, DSDC has grown into one of the most active and respected debating clubs in Dhaka.

Our Wings
Today, the club is home to two wings: a College Wing and a School Wing, the latter launched in 2026 to introduce younger students to debating. Across both wings, DSDC runs Bangla and English divisions, allowing members to compete in the language they are most comfortable with while developing skills in critical thinking, research, public speaking, and teamwork.
Our Results
Our results reflect that commitment. DSDC has won two Inter-Shaheen Debate Championships and 17 other championship titles, along with several runner-up finishes. Behind every trophy are countless hours of preparation, practice rounds, and the dedication of our debaters.
Our Guidance
DSDC has benefited from the guidance of Rubaiyat Samad Bhai, who previously served as the coach of the English Wing. Currently, Noor Mohammad Shuvo Bhai serves as the coach of the Bangla Wing, providing structured guidance and training to help its debaters improve their skills and pursue greater achievements.
